Why Accurate Information Gets You a Better Quote

A quote built on accurate specs books faster, prices correctly, and has no surprises at pickup. Here is why every field on our form matters.

Exact Dimensions & Weight

Freight rates are calculated by weight, dimensions, and freight class. Underestimating weight triggers reweigh fees at the scale. Wrong dimensions mean the wrong equipment shows up. Both cause delays and repricing. Use the manufacturer's spec sheet if available — it is the single most useful document you can include with a quote request.

Full Origin & Destination Addresses

City and state is not enough. A full address lets us identify dock hours, access restrictions, residential delivery flags, and appointment requirements before we quote — not after. Construction sites and rural locations require advance notice of ground conditions and site access.

Commodity & Product Description

What the freight is determines freight class, handling requirements, and whether any carrier certifications apply. "General merchandise" tells us nothing useful. "Fresh produce — 34°F continuous, 24 pallets, 40,000 lbs" tells us everything we need to place the right carrier at the right rate.

Required Delivery Date

Transit time depends on distance, drive hours, and available capacity on your specific lane. A same-day request on a cross-country load significantly narrows carrier options and increases cost. If you have date flexibility, tell us — it often saves money and gives us better carrier choices.

Temperature Requirements (Reefer Loads)

Specify your required setpoint and acceptable range. Continuous vs. cycle-sentry mode matters for sensitive commodities. Dual-zone temperature requirements must be noted upfront — not all reefer units support dual-temp and we need to spec the correct equipment before carrier matching.

The Additional Details Field

This is not a throwaway field. Use it for: limited site access, no-touch freight requirements, liftgate needed, inside delivery, hazmat considerations, or anything else the driver should know before arrival. The more you tell us now, the faster we can place the right carrier without callbacks.

What We Do Well — And What We Don't Handle

We are direct about this because it saves everyone time. We are very good at specific freight types and we will tell you honestly when something falls outside our capabilities — because the wrong carrier on your load helps no one.

✓ What We Excel At
Temperature-Controlled FTL & LTL Produce, dairy, meat, seafood, wine, and pharmaceuticals. Multi-stop reefer, dual-temp, and drop-and-hook. This is our core business and primary strength.
Flatbed, Step Deck & Open Deck Construction equipment, steel, lumber, and machinery within legal dimensions. 5,000+ vetted open-deck carriers across all 48 states.
Heavy Haul & Over Dimensional Oversize and overweight loads with full permit filing, route surveys, and pilot car coordination in all 48 states. One contact from quote to delivery.
Long-Haul Cross-Country Lanes Pacific Northwest and West Coast origins to all 48 states and Canada. We have established carrier relationships on West Coast lanes that others often cannot match on capacity or pricing.
Expedited & Time-Critical Freight Team drivers, direct routing, and priority dispatch for loads that cannot wait. 24/7 support during transit on all expedited moves.
Drayage & Port Container Moves Container pickup and delivery from ports and rail yards. TWIC-credentialed drivers for secure port access at 14+ major US ports.
✕ Outside Our Wheelhouse
Air Cargo We are a ground transportation company. For air freight, contact a licensed freight forwarder with air cargo capabilities.
International Ocean Freight We do not book ocean containers for export or import. We handle the domestic drayage leg once your container arrives at a US port.
Small Parcel & Courier Delivery Shipments under 150 lbs or packages requiring UPS/FedEx-style residential pickup and delivery are better served by small parcel carriers.
Household & Personal Moves We are a commercial freight company. Residential household goods moves require a licensed household goods mover under FMCSA regulations.
Hazmat Class 1 — Explosives We do not transport Class 1 explosive materials. For other hazmat classes, contact us to discuss the specific commodity and handling requirements.
Last-Mile Residential Delivery White-glove inside delivery and room-of-choice placement is outside our model. We deliver to commercial docks, warehouses, and distribution facilities.
