Full Truckloads (FTL) usually give you full access to a truck dedicated to transporting only your freight, and typically, the rate is per mile. So, as described above, if your freight will not completely fill up a fourty-eight foot trailer, you may want to inquire about the possibility of LTL rate quotes. We simply want to transport freight for you in the most efficient manner; so, knowing the number of pieces / pallets, and the weight of your commodities is an important piece of information we will be asking.

What is LTL Trucking?
LTL shipments typically weigh between 100 and 10,000 lbs. Since it would be extremely expensive to continuously transport small amounts of freight, consolidating LTL freight for transport to is the more efficient option.
The main advantage to using West Coast Carriers for your LTL trucking is that we do not transfer your goods once they’re loaded. Your products will pick and deliver on the same trailer. We have a number of accessorial services available which are not typically offered by FTL carriers.
